Taylor Swift Played a Huge Role in Sophie Turner’s Divorce From Joe Jonas

Taylor Swift and Sophie Turner have been friends for a while now. However, fans may be shocked with just how much influence Swift has in the actress’s life. Turner recently went through a messy divorce with pop star Joe Jonas. The Game of Thrones star admitted that it was the roughest thing she has ever gone through. That’s when Swift was able to swoop in and help her friend through all the tough times. 

According to Life and Style Magazine, after Jonas filed for divorce, Turner had no place to stay while she waited to hear about the custody of her two children. She then reached out to Swift for recommendations. However, Swift told her friend she could stay at her place for free until she was back on her feet. 

Taylor Swift Was There for Sophie Turner in Her Time of Need

“Taylor was an absolute hero to me this year,” Sophie, 28, said. “I’ve never been more grateful to anyone than I am for her because she took my children and me and provided us with a home and a safe space,” ​Sophie added. “She really has a heart of gold.”

Sophie Turner recalls how hard it was fighting for custody of her children. The actress stated that there would be days she would call her lawyer and say she couldn’t do this anymore. Turner continued by saying she had to realize she was doing this for her kids. “I’m doing it. I wouldn’t do it for myself, but I’ll find the strength for them.” 

Without Taylor Swift there is no telling what Turner would have done. She is extremely grateful for her friend. Tuner was able to come to a custody agreement with Joe Jonas. However, she is unhappy with how it all went down. Turner dreams of a more peaceful way to co-parent her children with Jonas.
