Taylor Swift has been criticized for her fashion choice while attending a game in Kansas City, MO recently. The singer, 35, put on another stylish display as she went loud in the Louis Vuitton monogram last weekend, but her blatant shout-out to the French designer wasn’t well-received by many.
Having already made headlines in recent months for rocking the Gucci monogram during a date night with boyfriend Travis Kelce, Taylor switched brands for this look, one showing off her legs as she modeled an oversized Vuitton jacket with a leggy skirt. While some welcomed her newfound style, others felt that it looked “tacky,” with one fan even blaming NFL player Travis for Taylor‘s seemingly changing fashion sense.
Taylor Swift Shows Off Louis Vuitton Look In Kansas City
Showcasing her fit frame in sheer red tights, Taylor stuck to her favorite miniskirt look, rocking a flirty, floaty black number that was just about visible beneath her jacket.
Keeping warm in her outerwear, the “Blank Space” hitmaker opted for Louis Vuitton’s Monogram Jacquard Knit Jacket, which retails for $5,000. She added black heeled ankle boots from the same brand, also going cute with a slouchy beanie hat that let her light locks shine. Strutting confidently to support beau Travis, Taylor wore her signature red lipstick, plus Louis Vuitton bangles, and a Cartier watch retailing for $32,000. Taylor made 2024 headlines for achieving billionaire status and has a reported net worth of $1.3 billion.
Despite her wealth, fans who saw the fashion breakdown on Instagram weren’t too impressed. In fact, many found her loud shout-out to LV on the cheap side.
Fans Saying Travis Made Her ‘Tacky’
Hundreds of fans have now upvoted a comment reading: “I loved last year when she was wearing personal Chiefs creations. This year feels like a catwalk. Support more small businesses Tay.”
While one user called the “logomania” cheap-looking, another said: “gl it’s a bit jarring to see her in so much logo wear these days.” Taylor is not currently signed to any major designers, however rumors of her getting paid to step out in monogrammed outfits are rife.
“Travis has really brought out the tackiness with the fashion I must say,” a further user replied. Earlier this month, the pop sensation wore the above Chanel look to attend a Chiefs game. This time, she wore a $9,600 tweed coat from the luxury designer adored by the likes of makeup mogul Kylie Jenner.
