The March 1 update has arrived for Team Fortress 2, and here are the changes and bug fixes with these patch notes. It’s been a while since we don’t see updates for Team Fortress 2. It’s unsurprising because Valve doesn’t care about the game like they did in the past years. But we are still happy to see updates for this game because there might still be some bugs that exist. Today’s update isn’t related to new features; it only brings bug fixes and optimizations. These kinds of updates are usually hard to notice on the game, but they’re secretly improving its stability.
Team Fortress 2 March 1 Update Patch Notes
- Added check to URLLabel to prevent invalid URLs
- Added new Workshop tags for Summer, Player Destruction, and Community Fix
- Added check to ensure bullet effects are not duplicated (community fix from mastercoms)
- Deleted some unused Steam API queries to improve client perf (community fix from mastercoms)
- Fixed exploit related to using the td_buyback command during Mann vs. Machine matches
- Fixed Stat Clock canceling out ÜberCharge and self-illuminating materials on weapons using War Paints (community fix from makaroffilya)
- Fixed not seeing the correct inspect image for the Red Rock Roscoe after previewing another paint kit item
- Fixed missing/incorrect style strings for a few items
- Reverted the previous change to the equip_region for the Cranial Cowl
- Updated cp_gravelpit_snowy to adjust clipping throughout the map
As you see, all the changes are bug fixes. We didn’t expect any new features because the game did what it could. The game is nearly 16 years old, and it doesn’t meet the standards of today’s online games. As there is no news about a sequel game, it’s best to start to say goodbye to this game slowly. Team Fortress 2 is available on PC. For more information regarding this patch, please visit the official Team Fortress 2 site.
