Prolific publisher Nacon Games is excited to announce the impending arrival of Hell is Us. This semi-open world will take players on a dark adventure that explores the evil side of humanity. And while we have to wait until next year to play it, Hell is Us already looks terrifyingly fun. The teaser trailer for Hell is Us gives the audience a decent idea of what’s to come.
Walk Among Death and Despair in Hell is Us from Rogue Factor and Nacon Games
Humans have wrought war once again, but the results of this devastation ended in supernatural horror. It’s called the Calamity, and strange creatures now roam the land ruined by violence. This is where our protagonist comes in. Armed with special equipment to battle these creatures, it’s up to him to uncover the madness behind the unknown.
The teaser trailer for Hell is Us is presented with cinematics to showcase the after-effects of a civil war. Essentially, we’re introduced to one of the strange beings making its way to our sword-wielding protagonist. Not much can be said with total confidence here, but the trailer does end with a quote from William Shakespeare on war. In truth, we don’t know what the red monster is, but it doesn’t look friendly. Be sure to check out the trailer in its entirety right here. We’re getting some Death Stranding vibes but with a sword instead of a big cargo backpack.
Hell is Us is being led by creative director Jonathan Jacques-Belletête, who worked as the art director for Deus Ex: Human Revolution. He went on to comment on their objective for the project, saying:
Our goal with Hell is Us is to bring back true adventure and exploration. There’s no need for a detailed quest log or precise waypoint on the map: we want players to feel the thrill of adventure, guided by their feelings and instincts.”
Players who are looking forward to Hell is Us might have to wait a bit. Since it has been in development for a few years, developer Rogue Factor is ready to start pushing for anticipation. It will launch sometime in 2023 for PC and next-gen consoles. Lastly, make sure to leave a comment on what you found to be the most intriguing part of the trailer!
