Months after regaining custody of her son Jace from Child Protective Services (CPS), Jenelle Evans is in trouble again. The Teen Mom star might be fighting another custody battle with the federal agency after recent erratic behaviors had many questioning her parenting skills.
Following incidents with her kids and a 911 call about an alleged fight, CPS is taking another look at Jenelle. An insider confirmed that an investigation is already underway. “CPS is involved,” the source told The Sun. “Jenelle doesn’t want any legal action against her. That’s partially why she suddenly sent Kaiser to his grandmother.” The informant added:
“A CPS card was left on her door that she needed to call them because she wasn’t there. Within 72 hours of that card being left, she had Kaiser on the road.”
Jenelle’s behavior first raised eyebrows after her boyfriend, August Keen, accused her of hitting him. In a 911 call placed on August 31, the manager-turned-lover said she consumed “12 drinks” before the heated altercation. Keen also alleged that the reality star “does do drugs” and “smokes a lot of weed.” Barely a month later, Jenelle’s 10-year-old son Kaiser made headlines for a vaping incident. She also reportedly left her 7-year-old daughter Ensley alone with her boyfriend, Keen.
Jenelle Evans Allegedly ‘Dependent’ On Others To Take Care Of Kids
This isn’t Jenelle’s first run-in with CPS. Authorities investigated the 16 and Pregnant alum’s household after her ex-husband David Eason was hit with a felony charge. He was accused of strangling her eldest son, Jace. The 15-year-old was in CPS custody for months until they dropped the case in February and released him to his mother.
Although Jenelle’s parenting during her marriage to Eason was clearly a disaster, sources say it is way better than her current situation. “Say what you will about David, but he really did the parenting,” an insider explained to the publication.
“Without Jenelle having the support of other people, even if they’re toxic, like David, she’s not able to handle the kids and everything that’s going on with them on her own.
The source added, “She’s really dependent on other people to help her take care of her problems.” Jenelle Evans might have escaped CPS’s judgment the first time, but will she be so lucky again?
