The case of Amber Portwood’s “new Gary” has taken another strange turn. Days after sources revealed that the Teen Mom star and her new beau got engaged weeks ago, he seems to be missing.
TMZ reports that Amber filed a missing persons report on Monday after Gary Wayt. The outlet says the report states that Amber and Gary were staying at a hotel together when an argument broke out.
After leaving their North Carolina hotel room, Gary did not turn up again. The two reside together in Indianapolis, Indiana, and Amber says he wasn’t familiar with the area and didn’t have contacts there.
Police Are Involved In the Search for Gary
While Amber has not publicly commented on Gary’s disappearance, the Bryson City Police have issued details to the public asking for help.
Gary Wayt, 39, is said to be 6’1″, 205 lbs., with brown eyes and sporting a bald head. He was last believed to be driving a grey 2009 Nissan Rogue with Indiana plates.

As the news spread Tuesday afternoon, members of the Teen Mom cast showed their support by reposting news of Gary’s disappearance. Both Briana DeJesus and Devoin Austin posted about Gary. Amber’s ex — Gary Shirley, with whom she shares daughter Leah — also posted the information, tagging wife Kristina Shirley.

They were, however, confused as to why he also tagged Carole Baskin.
Amber has been known to fall hard and fast for the men that enter her life. When fans saw the way that Amber choose to share the news of her new relationship — at daughter Leah’s 15th birthday dinner, after she politely voiced disinterest — they were concerned the toxic pattern was re-emerging.
Some pointed out that the teenager’s voicing of her weariness “triggered Amber.”
When Leah said “I’m scared” as a response to Amber stating she has a new boyfriend then saying she didn’t want to see a picture of him. That’s what triggered Amber. Then Leah pets her on the head…that’s why Amber spazzed.

Another pointed out Leah is right to have her reservations on the situation.
Amber was in the wrong from the moment she sat down like wtf is her problem??? Poor Leah, like there’s a time and a place and announcing your boyfriend at your daughter’s bday dinner that were late for is not it. Then calling her a dick and cursing at her like omg poor Leah 🥺
