It seems like it’s been a tough week for Amber Portwood. After last week’s episode of Teen Mom depicted the reality star getting engaged in an unusual manner, The Ashley reports that Gary Wayt is newly engaged, but not to Amber.
Amber and Gary’s Engagement Raised Eyebrows
Amber Portwood’s engagement on last week’s episode of Teen Mom was surprising to many, including those who witnessed it. Wayt dropped down on one knee moments after meeting Portwood’s co-stars, Catelynn Lowell Baltierra and Maci Bookout McKinney. The awkward living room proposal seemed to take everyone by surprise. It happened moments before the three left for a girls’ night out.
Still, as they went about the evening, Portwood seemed genuinely happy. She appeared optimistic about her future when she’d talk to her then-partner about their future, including plans to be a more consistent presence in 15-year-old daughter Leah’s life.
Sadly, things between the two ended earlier this year after a dispute while attending Portwood’s brother’s wedding.
Gary Wayt Now Has a New Partner
It’s unclear why things broke down the way they did between Amber Portwood and Gary Wayt. He has yet to comment publicly on their split, but web sleuths have discovered Wayt has moved on.
The Instagram account @TeenMomFanz was the first to report that Wayt has proposed to his new girlfriend. Fans reported to the account that Wayt was seen proposing at a Seattle restaurant earlier this month.
It’s unclear how long they have been together, but sources tell the fan account that Wayt and the mystery girlfriend plan to tie the knot later this year. Things appear to be moving fast, but that doesn’t seem to be an issue for Wayt.
