Jenelle Evans‘ ex is going through an unimaginable time. Nathan Griffith has recently been spotted for the first time since abandoning his Instagram account months ago, and it wasn’t what many expected. A new photo shared by Nathan’s wife, May Oyola, showed the former Teen Mom personality celebrating the holidays. He posed smiling with his wife and their dogs. Both son Kaiser and daughter Emery were absent from the photos, seemingly celebrating the holiday elsewhere. Fans were taken aback by Nathan’s appearance, with many learning for the first time that the 36-year-old has been battling cancer for nearly two years.

As of October 2020, Jenelle Evans has had primary custody of her son Kaiser, whom she shares with Nathan Griffith. Nathan and Kaiser enjoy time together every other weekend.
A source recently told The U.S. Sun that Jenelle is keeping Kaiser away from Nathan amid his continuing legal issues. This includes deciding not to let Kaiser travel to Tennessee to spend the holidays with Nathan and his family.
Jenelle herself is currently involved in legal issues of her own, with a CPS investigation into claims her husband, David Eason, was abusive toward her oldest child, 14-year-old Jace.
Another source tells the outlet that Nathan’s family is concerned about Kaiser’s and Jenelle’s other children’s well-being amid the investigation.
“They are upset that Kaiser- and the other kids- have remained in the home after the allegations were made almost a week ago now,” the source said of the situation in October 2023, though there have been no updates on the matter since.
