Terra Nil Animals in All Regions
To attract animals to your area and farm them in Terra Nil, you must first know what their habitats are. In Terra Nil, different types of animals live in each region, and some live in one habitat, while some can be found in multiple habitats. Note that you need to build an Animal Observatory to discover all animals in Terra Nil.
Here are the locations and requirements to discover all animal species in Terra Nil:
Temperate Region Animals
The River Valley and Abandoned Quarry are part of the Temperate region.
- Deer: 20+ greenery tiles.
- Frog: 10+ wetland tiles, and 5+ fynbos tiles.
- Beaver: 20+ river tiles, and 20+ forest tiles (Building a forest next to a river should be enough).
- Brown Bear: 20+ forest tiles, and a hill of at least 20+ tiles, and a beehive.
- Goose: In a lake of at least radius 4 (Four from a central location in each direction).
- Timber Wolf: 15+ forest tiles, a group of deer (You need to discover deer first).
Tropical Region Animals
The Desolate Island and Archipelago are part of the Tropical region.
- Tortoise: 10+ beach tiles, a small island.
- Flamingo: 10+ beach tiles, and 10+ wetland tiles (Build your wetlands close to your beaches).
- Parrot: 20+ tropical forest tiles and no buildings (Recycling pillars will make the scanning successful).
- Whale: 20+ ocean tiles, 10+ deep ocean tiles, and no land (Polluted Ocean does not count for this).
- Manta Ray: 8+ ocean tiles, 6+ coral reef tiles, 3+ river tiles (The river need not flow into the ocean).
- Reef Shark: 16+ coral reef tiles, 4 mangrove tiles, temperature 20+ degrees (Building your coral reefs close to your mangrove forests should be good).

Polar Region Animals
The Volcanic Glacier and Polluted Fjord are part of the Polar region.
- Elk: 6+ lichen tiles, plus 20+ snow tiles (Keep the temperature below 0°C to prevent the snow from melting).
- Narwhal: 20+ ocean tiles, 4 ice sheets, -10 degrees (You can keep the temperature very low by building many Flash Freezers).
- Polar Bear: 16+ snow tiles, 6+ ocean tiles, a group of Elk (you should start scanning Polar Bears after Elks).
- Arctic Fox: 10+ snow tiles, plus 10+ tundra tiles. (Find a place where tundra and snow are close)
- Snowy Owl: 10+ forest tiles, and tundra. (Find a place where the tundra is close to the forest)
- Penguin: 16+ ice sheets, 10+ ocean tiles.
Continental Region Animals
The Flooded City and Irradiated Sprawl are part of the Continental region.
- Panda: 20+ bamboo tiles, and 6 greenery tiles.
- Sea Otter: 12+ ocean tiles, 12+ kelp forest tiles (Build your kelp forest where the ocean is the widest).
- Peacock: 24+ greenery tiles.
- Boar: 8+ greenery tiles, 12+ deciduous forest tiles.
- Eagle: 6+ derelict skyscraper tiles, a group of Boar.
- Peacock: 24+ greenery tiles.
- Turtle: 20+ lagoon tiles (You can use more than one lagoon for this).
