Dealing with racist people is already frustrating, let alone running into one at night. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened to a woman walking through the streets of Seattle, Washington. Feeling threatened by an unknown white man who was following her, she began recording the encounter. In the clip, you can see him chasing after her while calling her an idiot. The woman simply told him to keep moving as she kept filming. Seemingly annoyed by the camera, he flipped her off before walking away. But just before fleeing, he shouted, “Go back to Tacoma where you belong!” and even hurled the n-word at her.
The woman later shared the incident with her friend, who then posted the video on their Reddit account. According to user CHSWA, the incident happened around 8:30 PM in Fremont, near Fremont Brewing Company. The woman had been walking home from the gym when a white man began following her. Since his identity was unknown, the Redditor asked if anyone online recognized him.
A Drunk Menace
Apparently, the white man is a known menace, as several Reddit users were quick to recognize him. “He harasses the Stone Way/Fremont neighborhood all the time. He’s been 86’d from every bar on the street. I see him all the time,” one user commented. Allegedly, the man has a habit of going to 7-Eleven to buy a six-pack, drinking it all, then returning to buy another. He reportedly spends his time wandering around Stone Way and Fremont, trying to enter random bars and restaurants, demanding sushi, and picking fights.
Another user said they also recognized the Seattle menace. While they didn’t know his real name, they had given him a nickname: “Tennis Bro.” Others urged the original poster to report the incident to the police, warning that someone with such racist behavior could escalate to something worse. User CHSWA replied that this was already part of their plan, saying that posting on Reddit was just the first step.
Other commenters condemned the white man for his inappropriate behavior. It was also obvious that he was completely drunk. His habit of buying and drinking excessive amounts of beer seemed so well known that some Redditors weren’t even surprised to see him hammered. “What’s going on with his wobbly little waddle walk? What a repulsive loser,” one user remarked.
Another Redditor shared their own experience encountering “Tennis Bro.” While they weren’t personally targeted, they did witness the white man harassing someone else. “I’ve seen this guy harassing Puppet Tom outside the QFC on 45th as well. He also appeared extremely drunk at that time,” the user said.
