At long last, block-dropping puzzle enthusiasts can add Tetris to their Steam libraries. Ubisoft has announced that Tetris Ultimate is now available on Windows PCs.
Tetris Ultimate was first launched on the Nintendo 3DS, celebrating the Tetris franchise’s 30th anniversary. The game offers six modes of play including a variety of single player challenges and competitive multiplayer Battle modes. Those hoping to achieve greatness can test their skills using Championship Rules and find out how they measure up against the world’s most elite competitors. Players can also connect with a social leader board system to compare rankings and challenge friends.
Ubisoft expressed its enthusiasm to bring the franchise’s latest installment to long-time fans as well as new players in a December 10 press release.
“Tetris continues to captivate audiences around the world, and we’re pleased to bring the latest iteration to a new community of players,” said Geoffroy Sardin, Ubisoft’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Tetris Ultimate will test the determination and skills of both new fans and the most seasoned gamers alike.”
Windows PC is the latest platform to see a Tetris Ultimate release following the Nintendo 3DS in November 2014, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in December 2014, and PlayStation Vita in June 2015.
