News channels have been divided between covering Iranians thanking Trump and those mourning Khamenei. A CBS reporter in Austin, Texas is currently being praised for choosing to cover the truth in front of him. Apparently, his superior didn’t want him covering Iranians celebrating and thanking Trump, but he refused to follow that order.
In a now viral video, the reporter, who is named Vinny Martorano, was standing in front of a large gathering of Iranians in support of Trump’s actions in Iran. The reporter was also talking to someone behind the camera. That person handed him a phone and said, “They don’t want us to focus on this.” He then handed back the phone and said, “Well, I am” meaning that he was going to cover the scene despite that order.
He went on air then and as he talked into his microphone, he pointed at the group behind him and mentioned how they were thanking Trump and the United States for attacking Iran. The reporter also made sure to add that some people across Austin are asking for more peace. In another video, you could clearly hear the crowd behind him chanting “Thank you, Trump.” His decision to cover the real news was met with a lot of praise.
People Reacting to the Texas CBS Reporter’s Video
A lot of Trump supporters thanked the Texas reporter for covering the truth. “This BASED reporter is Vinny Martorano and I believe that, for defying orders, this man deserves the full force of MAGA LOVE! Give him a follow – let’s send a message to his bosses,” one person wrote. Another person wanted more honest journalism as they said, “True journalism thrives on transparency and the courage to report what is happening on the ground regardless of editorial pressures. The public’s right to know the full picture is the cornerstone of a free society. We need this kind of professional integrity to rebuild trust in the media.” Someone else said, “Give this patriot a raise. What a guy. More of this in the mainstream media.”
More people kept thanking Martorano for his coverage of the news as they wanted to see more of this. “Can you imagine the amount of eyes that would be opened if every news outlet across America was covering it appropriately?” one person asked. Another person said, “The fact that superiors are explicitly telling reporters to ignore massive crowds is deeply concerning. This exposes how ‘the news’ is often curated to hide public sentiment that doesn’t align with leadership. We need more independent voices like this who refuse to let the truth be silenced by a text message.” He did what he believed was right.
