How people choose to celebrate their Valentine’s Day is totally up to them. You can spend the day indoors with movies, maybe order in, or get dressed and head out for the evening. Others like to create grand shows of affection, like this one couple from Texas. Even though it was understood between the two they weren’t going to do much for Valentine’s Day, someone decided to break rank and throw a surprise party!
“POV: he tells you to record when you get home,” the caption of Jalinnas’s TikTok video reads. Just as she steps into her home, she’s immediately greeted with dim lighting, red balloons, and a red carpet leading up to her partner, Lil Chichi. He’s dressed to the nines in a toga, wings, and a bow, complete with a ‘love’ arrow. More importantly, Lil Chichi is grinning ear to ear.
“I’ve only been gone for, like, three arrows! What are you wearing?” Jalinna says, just before they both break out singing the music playing in the background. Lil Chichi also tries to ‘shoot’ Jalinna with a love arrow. It doesn’t go far but it’s the though that counts!
“I thought we celebrating this year,” Jalinna asks, but Lil Chichi says “every day” is a celebration of Valentine’s Day before showering her with kisses. But that’s not all Lil Chichi had planned for the day. He shows off various gifts he picked up in the few hours she was gone.
First, Lil Chichi orders Papa John’s pizza—heart-shapped and thin crust, like the way Jalinna seems to like it. “I know you’re trying to watch the calories,” Lil Chichi says. Second, he bought a cake with his face superimposed on Cupid, which he gives a lick.
And lastly, an order of wings, because it isn’t Valentine’s Day without some wings. Although they look good, Lil Chichi admits a few wings are missing because “I had to eat while I set this up.” Other gifts is blackberry Stella Rosa, candy, a stuffed bear, and a gift Jalinna can’t have until the cake is eaten.
“Cupid shot me, yall,” Jalinna says. Meanwhile, the entire time Lil Chichi is loving on her as they end the video. The way people reacted to their obviously strong love is a combination of celebration, happiness, and feigning jealously.
“Oh he’s funny AND romantic, girl keep him,” urged one commenter. Numerous others agreed, some even suggesting Lil Chichi is “the one.”
“WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT HIS HOUSE SHOES,” asked one. They’re Scooby-Doo slippers and I’d like a pair now.
“Girl congratulations,” another said, jokingly adding an image of Kitty Forman from That ‘70s Show drinking alcohol.
“I just know there’s a female version of him out there,” said another. See, that’s the kind of attitude you need.
What you’re see there is two people absolutely in love with one another. And when you are, even if you two agree not to surprise one another, you just want to do it anyway!
