Some people out there think that they are entitled to act in certain ways without facing any consequences. This is probably what a White man in Texas thought as he was shopping inside Walmart. A female shopper who was also there filmed how a crowd inside the store confronted the man because he hit the woman in front of him with his cart. The video showed the woman he hit confronting him as another Black man stood next to the guy. “You got a problem?” the Black man asked as he defended the woman. She then started talking to the White man herself as she told him that he stopped and held up the entire line.
The actions of the Texas man made him unwelcome to everyone there. Even the camerawoman’s husband stood up to him. After all of this backlash, the man was forced out of the line and left the entire store. The camerawoman later shared another video detailing what happened. Apparently, the victim was already in front of her and her husband. Then, they suddenly saw the White man in front of them instead and he started ramming the woman with his cart. That was when the shoppers stood up to him. The TikTok user also said that the woman ended up calling the police on the man. In another video, she pointed out that the man didn’t just hit the woman, but he also cut the line. Both actions were utterly appalling.
Since many people saw the video, the woman who was attacked ended up contacting the camerawoman. The latter then shared another update where she revealed that the police ticketed the White guy for assault. “Justice was served,” the camerawoman said. Let’s hope that this will teach him a lesson.
People Reacting to the Texas Crowd Standing Up to the White Man
A lot of people were happy that the Texas crowd added pressure on the White man and he ended up leaving. Since all who confronted them were minorities, internet users couldn’t help but focus on this. “Minorities standing together.. you love to see it,” one person wrote. Another person said, “I love when people of color come together and fight the oppressor.” Someone else commented on how the Black man in the video defended the woman as well. “Find who this man is so I can Cashapp him some HERO MONEY!” they wrote. Many people also thanked the camerawoman and her husband for what they did. “Thank you so much for speaking up‼ There needs to be more ppl like you in this world,” one TikTok user commented.
Unfortunately, there were some comments that tried to defend the Texas man even though police ticketed him. This defense made one person ask, “People don’t understand that’s a form of assault. Dude should have been called out. In what world do people think it’s okay to treat another human being like that?” More people thanked the woman as another person said, “we as women are in danger here. And we women of color are in major danger. Good for you. More people need to stand up and speak up.” It’s reassuring that people spoke up instead of just standing by while something wrong was happening.
