Doctors are professionals, but they’re also people who can make mistakes. But with some mistakes, you can’t help but wonder how in the world a physician would come to such a conclusion. This is exactly what went through one Texas teacher’s mind when he discovered his doctor claimed that he has breast implants. Quite the bizarre accusation, when the individual clearly knows himself not to possess such implants, considering how he’s a cis male and all.

My doctor thinks I have a breast implants? I’m a guy.

“My doctor thinks I have a breast implants? I’m a guy,” the teacher remarked, posting a small screenshot of their medical record on r/mildlyinfuriating. According to the doctor’s “Findings,” the Texas man has bilateral breast implants, noticeable from his lower neck and chest wall. The physician also wrote that the upper abdomen is “unremarkable.” Of course, in medical terminology, that means no abnormal or notable findings were present, but it’s slightly funny and ironic in this particular situation.

“Unremarkable seems like an insult 😭,” remarked one commenter. “So you are saying they are natural?” quipped another user. “Tell him ‘They’re real, and they’re spectacular,'” joked a third. But jokes aside, many people in the comment section collectively agreed that the doctor must have accidentally copied and pasted another patient’s information into the Texas teacher’s. One person added that the doctor might have also simply misclicked the breast implant option when filling out the form post-scan.

Several other people came out saying they also had similar incidents in the past when their doctors accidentally reported false information about their physical health. In their case, simply bringing it up to clarify things resolved the issue. That will likely be the solution for this Texas teacher as well, unless he plans on keeping the doctor misinformed. In the worst-case scenario, the reason behind the doctor’s mistake could be that the doctor stereotyped the man as something he’s not, such as a trans individual.
