After being harassed for three years, a Texas woman has had enough of her nosy neighbor and his wife making complaint after complaint. And over what? Every time there’s a problem, it’s also over something she does with her own property.
TikTok user LaShaye (The_grief_recovery_coach) posted a verbal fight she and her neighbor, Rex, got into and posted it on social media. LaShaye called him out for all the drama she’s had to endure since living next to them. This most recent confrontation was spurred on by Rex taking pictures of her property. She tells her audience, “He and his wife always complain about what I do with my home and my property.”
Fed up, LaShaye proclaims, “You’re a nuisance because you’re always calling the police on my guests.” While she’s telling him all of this, Rex points at her house and asks who’s there. But LaShaye has had enough and tells him that he doesn’t need to “worry” about who’s at her home.
After getting in her car, LaShaye opens up about her neighbor’s constant harassment, which according to her has been going on for three years. She said he intrusively asks her about whether or not she pays her taxes, and why she has “Muslim people” coming into her home.
“And he has made over 200 complaints to the city about me and my property,” LaShaye says. It’s gotten so bad, the city is “evaluating” her property for anything and everything that might need fixed. This is in addition to Rex calling the police on her, just for having people at her home. She asks the audience, “Why is what I do with my home any of your business?”
The reaction to LaShaye’s nosy neighbor and his years-long harassment
Not only were viewers in agreement that Rex has entered the realms of harassment, many speculated on why he was acting like such a stinker to LaShaye. Others also took an opportunity to make fun of him and point out his hypocrisy.
“Is that Rex’s driveway?” one commenter asked. “He should be spending his time fixing it.” In the video, you can see very clearly cracks in his driveway. If LaShaye were petty enough, she could get the city involved.
“He’s probably a Trump supporter?” another viewer speculated. While one user thought it was an “ignorant response,” another shared that Trump supporters were “typically racists,” and that it was a fair assessment to make.
Some viewers offered a couple solutions. One suggested suing Rex for harassment, while another told LaShaye, “You need to start making complaints on him.”
While LaShaye has not shared on whether she’ll seek legal advice, she has shared a video of the property after a random user commented, “Probably is a dump.” She gave a tour and it is not in fact a dump. It’s quite beautiful!
