Most of the original cast for That 70’s Show is slated to return for a 90’s themed sequel. This announcement was first made by The Hollywood Reporter. After a number of significant negotiations, five of the six main cast members have all closed deals to return. As of now, the main cast for That 90’s Show will feature Kurtwood Smith, Debra Jo Rupp, Topher Grace, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Laura Prepon, and Wilder Valderrama. Smith and Rupp will be returning as Red and Kitty for That 90’s Show while also serving as executive producers. Danny Masteron (who played Steven Hyde) will not return for the series.
That 90’s Show was first announced in October 2021. At the time of the original announcement, there was no confirmation that the original cast members would be in it yet. However, they were all hopeful that the other members would be able to make it.
That 70’s Show first aired in 1998. It ran for eight seasons on Fox and revolved around the misadventures of a group of teenagers in the ’70s. All eight seasons are available to stream on Netflix for $1.99 an episode. Despite this, the original cast is set to return only for guest appearances. That 90’s Show will feature a new generation of teenagers.
That 70’s Show Cast With That 90’s Show: What We Know So Far
The show will star Callie Haverda, who plays the daughter of Eric and Donna. She will be spending her summer in Point Place, with her grandparents Kitty and Red. The show is also described as “smart like her mom, snarky like her dad, Leia is ready for a new adventure and finds it in the most unlikely of places: next door to her grandparent’s house in Point Place.”
The show will also star Ashley Aufderheide, Mace Coronel, Maxwell Acee Donovan, Reyn Doi, and Sam Morelos. Each of these cast members is meant to play different teenagers around the neighborhood.
As of now, Netflix has ordered 10 episodes of That 90’s Show. It also does not have a release date or release window yet.
