If you’ve encountered a strange, morphed building with faces on the walls and paintings covered in tree roots in Once Human, then you’ve found a Devious Painting location. These aren’t there by accident and can help provide a little more context to the world around you. There are four Devious Painting locations in the game, and locating three of them will unlock 40 Mitsuko Marks for the Stardust Roar season.

All Devious Painting Locations

The four Devious Paintings are located in the following areas to ensure that you have access to them all:

  • Iron River.
  • Red Sands.
  • Chalk Peak.

Red Sands requires you to be at least Level 40 to survive. You can explore the area freely, but you will be under-leveled, and enemies will attack if you happen to be within range.

Iron River Painting

The first painting I found is located in Iron River at (5887, -4260). Just as explained above, it will look like an abandoned and ruined home. There will be an Artist’s Note that you need to read. When it’s been read, press the Q button to take notice of a canvas on a nearby easel. The canvas holds a map to the next painting.

There are two portraits in Red Sands. The first one is located at (4758, 2143). Similarly, you must read the Artist’s Note and press the Q button to see the canvas on the nearby easel. The canvas holds a map that leads to the next location.

The second Red Sands portrait location is at (5382, 145). You do need to have defeated the fourth monolith and be at minimum 48 to both reach and survive this area. Ensure that you read the Artist’s Note and check out the canvas for a map to the fourth location.

Chalk Peak Painting

In Chalk Peak, the fourth portrait is located at (666, -6167). The same as the rest, you must read the Artist’s Note and check out the canvas. This time, however, you will have found all four portrait locations.

Reward For Finding All Paintings

The reward for finding all of the paintings in Once Human includes 40 Mitsuko’s Marks as part of the fourth season’s goals. Like the Telephone Booth Puzzle, this quest won’t be added to your task list and is exclusive to seasonal goals.
