It must be difficult to be a former nobody-turned-niche reality television star. When Devin Strader won and became engaged to Jenn Tran on the 21st season of The Bachelorette, I don’t know why he thought fans wouldn’t dig into his past. It came to light earlier this week that the reality star was arrested after burglarizing the home of a 2017 girlfriend. Additionally, it looks like Devin Strader’s arrest resulted in a restraining order.
Devin took to social media to address the allegations and people’s understanding of the issue. He begins by addressing the final episode of The Bachelorette and the video he released in response to it, calling it a “lapse in judgment.”

Shortly after Jenn and Devin became engaged, the latter broke it off. The Bachelorette’s recap episode brought this to attention and allowed the two to discuss what happened, though I’ll admit, I still don’t understand why Devin would do any of what he did. His colors really showed. As a result of the backlash from this episode, Strader’s past was revealed and the opinions of the majority are further cemented.
Most recently, there have been challenges from a low point in my past that have been brought up and severely miscronstrued. The accusations are simply not true as I have never insappropriately laid hands on another individual or treated my ex-girlfriends in any of the ways I have been depicted.”

He ends the message by acknowledging his mistakes and working daily to improve himself. Whether or not he does, Devin Strader will always have people who are upset about the arrest and his treatment of Jenn in the comments of every image reminding him to.
