The Bachelor‘s Zach Shallcross is setting the timeline straight about when he knew Kaity Biggar was the one. Zach Shallcross and Kaity Biggar got engaged on the ABC reality show, but there was another deeply involved contestant.
Fans questioned Zach’s actions with both women after the concerned episodes aired, and now he is setting the record straight. Find out what he said below.
The Bachelor’s Zach Shallcross Detailed When He Became Sure About Kaity Biggar
The Bachelor‘s Zach Shallcross had a tough time deciding who he wanted to get married to. However, the tech executive finally decided and proposed to Kaity Biggart.
Meanwhile, fans accused Zach of stringing along runner-up contestant Gabi Elnicki, but the reality star denied doing that. He then proceeded to explain what really happened.
In the final episodes, Zach initially told Kaity that she stole his heart for good during their date. He then had another date with Gabi which seemed promising. However, the TV personality put the confusion down to editing.
“The beauty of reality TV and editing. It was actually not in that order,” Zach explained. He added that his last date with Gabi actually happened before his final date with Kaity, despite how it aired.
“I never want there to be this false narrative, but from what I said, it was true,” he continued. “When I had that date with Gabi, leaving it, I wasn’t fully sure. My mind [was not] made up at all, but when I saw Kaity the next day, I was like, ‘Duh, it’s you. It’s been you.'”

Gabi Elnicki And Kaity Biggar Remain Friends
Despite Zach Shallcross and Kaity Biggar getting engaged, leaving Gabi out of the loop, she remains good friends with Kaity.
Kaity revealed that the show’s outcome didn’t affect her friendship with Gabi, as they have gone on trips together. She further disclosed that they would be going to Miami in April.
Meanwhile, Zach’s tough decision left Gabi brokenhearted, which she made clear during their live chat on Monday night. During that conversation, Gabi criticized Zach for how he handled Fantasy Suite week.
Zach broke his self-imposed rule of no intimacy with his final three women with Gabi and then confessed to Kaity.
However, he didn’t inform Gabi. Gabi responded to that decision, saying during the finale that it was “extremely violating” for her.
After being called out for his actions, Zach apologized to Gabi and the last contestant, Ariel Frenkel. He regretted that he caused them pain and clarified that he never intended to do that.
“It pains me that… me trying to set this parameter was the worst decision and backfired so strong,” he added. “I just wanted her to know that that was never my intention, to hurt anyone.”
It is good that The Bachelor’s Zach Shallcross has apologized to those concerned and also set the record straight. Hopefully, he will be more prudent in his dealings with women in the future.
