The aftermath of The Bachelor’s Zach Shallcross breaking his no-sex policy during the Fantasy Suite dates almost became a messy blood bath. The three finalists reacted differently to the news of what happened but ultimately got over it.
When Zach Shallcross created the no-sex policy, he believed the rule would keep things from becoming messy between him and the three finalists, Ariel Frenkel, Gabi Elnicki, and Kaity Biggar. He struggled to keep to his terms through his dates with the other two. However, things took a different turn when it came time to enjoy his overnight experience with Elnicki.
What Zach Shallcross Said About Breaking His No-Sex Policy
Zach broke his no-sex policy when he succumbed to Gabi’s charms and got intimate with her during their overnight date. Speaking to People in an interview in the wake of the Fantasy Suite experience, Zach Shallcross admitted things did not play out the way he hoped. He divulged:
“Looking back at it all, it’s tough to watch. It was the farthest thing from perfect. I was trying to make it as smooth as possible, and in the end it really just bit me in the ass.”
Despite Zach’s regrets, the experience would admittedly remain etched in his memory. The reality star revealed he was working to move past his slipup and wanted the world to know his actions with Gabi did not define him.
Notwithstanding, the 26-year-old was only thankful his finalist and new fiancé Kaity Biggar, understood that, and was willing to scale through the mishap with him. Reacting to the discovery of Zach’s slipup, Kaity told People:
“I think at the end of it, we came out stronger and that’s the only thing I could have wanted at the end of that situation. So it was a hurdle, we got through it and I’m proud of us for doing that.”
Ariel Was Disgruntled, And Gabi Felt Betrayed
As viewers recall, Zach told Kaity that he broke his no-sex policy with Gabi during their own Fantasy Suite dates. The revelation put a wedge in their overnight experience, but the couple eventually moved past the drama. While Zach had their “really important” conversation that night to thank for their relationship success, Ariel and Gabi had nothing positive to say about it.
On Ariel’s part, she only found out about it after watching last week’s episode with the rest of the world. She expressed her grievances to host Jesse Palmer, noting that Zach failed to accord her the same respect as the others by telling her personally about breaking his rules.
When Gabi found out Zach came clean to Biggar, she admittedly felt “blindsided” because they previously agreed to keep it between them. She believed letting the world know such details about her felt “extremely violating.”
Zach eventually took responsibility for his mistakes with both women during Monday’s After the Final Rose special. However, what lies ahead for him and Kaity remains bleak, especially with two “scorned” women on the loose.
