With such a vast and colorful cast, picking who’ll make it to your final team in Honkai Star Rail can be challenging. While many 5-star characters outshine most of the other cast members, there are a few 4-star ones that are great, too. One of the first free characters you’ll get is Asta. Even if she doesn’t seem like the best or most powerful character, she is pretty helpful. That is why we’ll talk about the best build for Asta in Honkai: Star Rail today.
Honkai Star Rail: Best Asta Build

Asta is a 4-star character who wields the Fire element and comes from the Path of Harmony. At first, she doesn’t seem the best when doing damage, but once you build her, you’ll see why she’s so good. Even after so many versions, Asta is still relevant due to the buffs she provides for the team and the ease of fitting into almost every party composition. For F2P players, she’s a must-have.

Since Asta is a 4-star character, you don’t have to worry much about getting a premium Light Cone for her. She performs extremely well with some of the ones you can get for free or by pulling in any of the banners. Undoubtedly, the best is Memories of the Past. When this Light Cone reaches S5, Asta will be able to spam her Ultimate constantly, which is her most valuable gimmick in any team.
If you don’t have that one, Planetary Rendezvous is ideal if you have other party members who wield the Fire element. If not, it’s not that useful. Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds remains relevant due to the buffs it gives, but since it is a bit reliant on RNG, you might want to go for Memories of the Past instead.
Relics & Stats
Like many other buffers in Honkai: Star Rail, Asta will also use the usual support relic set for this build, the Messenger Traversing Hackerspace one. The most important stat to keep in mind for Asta is her Energy Regeneration Rate, as we’ll want as much of this to get a proper uptime for her Ultimate. However, you can focus on other stats if you have her at E6. With Asta at E6, her skills provide more energy and her regen rate increases by 15%, so you can focus on different stats. Regardless, here are the ones we recommend:

In other builds, we tend to make a list of the best team compositions for a specific character, but in truth, Asta fits almost everywhere. She’s one of the few universal supports that can help other DPS party members shine and just let other teammates move faster, for that matter.
