Peacock has just released the trailer for its upcoming limited series The Best Man: The Final Chapters. It is part of The Best Man film franchise that has starred Nia Long, Morris Chestnut, Melissa De Sousa, Taye Diggs, Sanaa Lathan, Harold Perrineau, and more. Malcolm D. Lee wrote and directed the 1999 film The Best Man and the 2013 film The Best Man Holiday. The Peacock limited series will be eight episodes long. The Best Man: The Final Chapters trailer shows where the crew is at with their lives. Lance (Morris Chestnut) still mourning the death of his wife Monica (Mia Morgan) who passed away in The Best Man Holiday. The once bachelor, Quentin (Terrence Howard) is getting married this time around. Harper’s (Taye Diggs) book will be made into a film. Murch and Candy are trying to spend some quality time together.
The Series Will Conclude Where Morris Chestnut and Taye Diggs’ Character’s Relationship Ends Up
The central relationship through both The Best Man films has been with Lance (Morris Chestnut) and Harper (Taye Diggs). Murch (Harold Perrineau) and Quentin (Terrence Howard) are significant in the friendship. The latter two are more buffers for Lance and Harper when they get into fights. One of the biggest fights for them was Harper having slept with Mia when she and Lance had first started dating. It took Mia’s death for them truly make peace. The Best Man: The Final Chapters shows that all the men are still speaking to each other, so that’s hopeful. Morris Chestnut, Taye Diggs, Harold Perrineau, and Terrence Howard have now played these same characters for over twenty years. The Peacock limited series will be the last fans will see of The Best Man family.
