The Bold and the Beautiful‘s Luna Nozawa has another family member. The fashion intern has been front and center since her arrival last year. From the start, her life was shrouded in mystery. Luna was raised by her mother Poppy Nozawa and never knew her father. Poppy’s been secretive about her daughter’s paternity but has finally divulged the truth.
After reconnecting with her ex-boyfriend Bill Spencer, Poppy confessed he could be Luna’s father. Earlier this week, the trio got their answers when a DNA test confirmed Bill was the dad.
The Bold and the Beautiful Fans Aren’t Convinced Bill is Luna’s Father
Luna’s paternity was treated as a major storyline, and many fans speculated her father could’ve been Jack Finnegan, Poppy’s brother-in-law. Poppy’s becoming pregnant by Jack would explain the tense relationship she has with her sister, Li Finnegan. Plus, it would’ve made for juicier drama, with Luna learning about her mother’s unsavory past.
But the writers went the predictable route by giving Bill another long-lost kid. While some of The Bold and the Beautiful fans are happy Bill is getting more airtime, they’re not fans of the storyline. On a Soap Central message board, viewers expressed their disappointment with the paternity reveal.
One commenter believes a twist is coming in the story:
I do not believe that he IS Luna’s daddy. TPTB have been telling viewers too many things lately that were SUPPOSED to be true, but turned out NOT to be true. JMHO.
Another fan thought it was foolish for Bill to be involved in another paternity story:
I just don’t care AT ALL…I do think it’s ridiculous they’re doing this with Bill a THIRD TIME…twice was already too stupid. And nothing will make Runa watchable, but I’m sure it’s Bill’s turn to carry them.
Another viewer blasted the show’s lack of creativity:
Where’s the drama in it? What on earth was the point of all the build up if it was just Bill? I’ve been wracking my tiny brain to try and see ANY way for it not to be Bill going forward but I just don’t see it. Have any of the Luna stories gone anywhere? What happened to the ONS with Zende? Are they wrapping up all her stories so she can be backburnered? Lord we hope.
Bill is happy with his newfound family with Poppy and Luna. Yet, other characters aren’t thrilled. Li was suspicious of Poppy and her at-home DNA test, so Li brought a test kit for them to use. The doctor was shocked and left fuming when the results revealed Bill was the dad.
Also, Bill’s ex-wife, Katie Logan, is back in the picture. Now that she knows Luna is Bill’s daughter, she’s going to be asking a lot of questions. Katie cares about Bill and doesn’t want him to get hurt, which is why she’ll be digging into Poppy’s past. Katie’s search could uncover more secrets about Poppy, including the real truth about Luna’s paternity.
Soap operas always do twists in paternity stories, so there might be drama and heartache awaiting Luna and Bill. The Bold and the Beautiful viewers will have to wait and see how this plays out.
