It is almost time to kill some bad superheroes once again. The Boys has given posters of Butcher (Karl Urban) and Homelander (Antony Starr) with an official 2024 window for season 4 (seen below). The news comes off the heels of the finale of the spinoff series Gen V. Like how the last season of the mainline series tied into the college-oriented show, it will go back around as Gen V ties into the next season of the Urban-starring series.
The Boys Season 4 Arriving in 2024 With New Posters of Butcher and Homelander
The promotional images show Homelander basking stoically at an event as confetti rains down on him. To the right, Butcher is looking solemnly at the remnants of the event with balloons and confetti at his feet.
Where we left off, a lot happened between the main series and its spinoff. Homelander has his son, Ryan (Cameron Crovetti); Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) is back in a CIA-grade refrigerator; Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott) loses her powers from Soldier Boy and fakes her death to escape with her girlfriend Elena (Nicola Correia-Damude), and the main crew is out to kill a dangerous supe-turned-Vice-President, Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit). Meanwhile, Gen V tackled a conspiracy from Vought that turned poorly for the main cast when Homelander swooped in and locked them away to protect the supes.
The Boys season 4 has been quiet as it has not been able to place a release date. The writers’ strike put its post-production process on pause. When the strike concluded, the show’s creator, Eric Kripke, told Variety that the music and VFX were the last pieces being put together.
The Boys season 4 is set for 2024, but no specific date has been listed.
