The Collectors Case: Our First Review

The Collectors Case is a monthly collectible mystery geek box filled with exclusive t-shirts, celebrity autographs (in random boxes) and various pop culture products.  They also offer a case called “The Sure Thing” for $55.00 and you are guaranteed celebrity autograph.

Who wouldn’t want a Stay Puft Apron and Chef Hat?!? Well, okay, maybe not everyone would want it but you must admit it is a pretty cool item.  This was one of the first items we found in The Collectors Case box we received.

This t-shirt takes me back to one of my favorite games, Space Invaders.  I am not sure how many hours my family and I played this game but I remember my hands hurting from the Atari controller.

I, personally, don’t know much about The Rocketeer, a movie released in the early 90’s.  So, when I haven’t seen a movie and want to know more, what do I do? I check out YouTube….Are you like me?  Do you have a hard time remembering this movie?  Here’s a trailer to refresh your memory.

Now, Casper, I remember! I loved that cute little ghost! I didn’t know they made trading cards but I guess Casper may have been popular enough at one point to pull off selling these things.  I didn’t check to see if there was gum inside but I’m thinking it might not be chewable if it is.  Who knows?

We were fortunate enough to get one of the The Collectors Case boxes with a celebrity autograph and, for July, it appears David Hasselhoff from Baywatch was the celebrity of choice (at least for our box). Yes, I will admit I watched that show and I actually like it.  But it’s not one of those I will be hunting up on Netflix or some other online source for retro TV shows anytime soon.

This Force of Will trading card game with instructions is pretty cool, however, I have no idea what I’m doing with something like this.  But I’m sure there is a whole bunch of people out there that know exactly what to do.

And there you have the contents of our first box from The Collectors Case.  It had quite a few items in it and appeared to offer something for just about everyone. This particular box had some retro items in it that brought back memories from my past and I’m sure it did the same for others.
