Open-world fantasy RPG The Falconeer has gotten a new story trailer. The trailer shows off the game’s narrator and third-person air combat.

In The Falconeer, you control a massive bird flying around a never-ending ocean. You will fight enemies in the sky and balance between the various factions of the world.

The trailer begins with the Seachantress, voiced by Tegan Hitchens, describing the roles of the Falconers in their community. Before they were messengers and guardians, but have since died out. Ostensibly you are one of few flying guardians in the skies.

You will need to enlist your high-flying buddy to help defeat these enemies and take back the sky. In the world of Ursee, discover secrets that will shape the course of the ocean and its inhabitants.

The trailer then shows off some intense gameplay. The air combat has you dogfighting through various encounters, dodging enemies and laser blasts. You will have to take on various enemies in the sky, as well as pirate ships in the water.

The Falconeer

Watching the trailer, it’s hard not to get flashbacks to The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. The massive ocean intermixed with these small islands makes the game feels like a spiritual successor to one of my personal favorite Zelda games.

In addition to upgrading your abilities, you can also help fortify the different islands around the ocean.

Even though the game is reminiscent of other classic games, the style seems holy unique. The turbulent ocean waves crashing while the orange and green shots ring out above creates a new visual dynamic.

The Falconeer Coming Soon To Xbox One And Steam

The Falconeer is set to release on Xbox One and Steam, but no solid release is on the calendar. You can wishlist it to get more information.
