The Game Awards will unveil somewhere around 10 new games next week. That’s straight from the horse’s mouth.

Geoff Keighley gave a Reddit AMA this morning where he talked about plans for the December 12 show. Among the questions that were asked, was how many new projects were slated to be revealed.

The Game Awards host responded there are “around 10 new games/projects being revealed if you want to count the things that no one has heard about yet.” He added that just what those projects will be, aren’t known by the general public yet.

That’s because Keighley says the leaks and rumors that have been swirling around the Internet are not correct. In fact, later in the AMA he said nothing that is planned for the show has actually leaked.

That, unfortunately, means there are no plans to learn more about games like the recently leaked Resident Evil 3 remake. On the flip side, it means we’re going to be hearing about quite a few games we had no clue were under production.

Considering both Project Scarlett and the PS5 are coming next fall, it’s possible we could hear about some next-generation titles. Last year, The Game Awards unveiled titles like Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order and Mortal Kombat 11

It’s not surprising that Keighley would claim every leak so far has been inaccurate. He wants people to tune into the show.

That doesn’t mean we won’t hear something about one or more of the titles that have been talked about in the last few weeks. At the same time, when he says nothing was ever planned for Resident Evil 3, it seems likely that’s a cold, hard truth.

Keighley himself has teased things here and there recently. That includes a possible addition to Elder Scrolls Online.

We’ll find out what’s in store for The Game Awards next Tuesday, December 12.
