ABC’s The Golden Bachelor’s wholesomeness is making it impossible to know who to root for, and audiences don’t really know how to process a dating show with no discernible bad choice. Gerry Turner has to choose between the final two women, Leslie Fhima and Theresa Nist, and audiences are really torn about who The Golden Bachelor should give the final rose to. It really just comes down to who is a better fit for Gerry, and after looking at what we know so far, it seems like Leslie Fhima is the best and most obvious choice.
After the hometown dates, it’s clear how conflicted Gerry is about who to choose. However, after hearing how he talked about his feelings for Leslie, it doesn’t seem like Theresa Nist has much of a chance. Leslie has a charisma to her that makes her quite the hot commodity. Even Prince thought so, and he supposedly wrote the song, “Sexy Dancer” about her. If Prince fell in love with her, then Gerry has to as well. Right?

Gerry does not have a poker face, and he’s been hinting at Leslie as the one for a while now. During a particularly intense canoodle session, Gerry whispered in Leslie’s ear, “You’re my girl,” which only tells a part of the story about their intense chemistry. He has said many times, both to her and in his in-the-moment interviews, that he loves her. They have a bit of an emotional shorthand as well, and Gerry told her he likes her “soft, gooey, inside.” It doesn’t get more straightforward than Gerry telling Leslie, outright, “I think you’re the one.”

Leslie is an extremely attractive woman. In fact, she’s quite a smoke show. Beyond that, she and Gerry have a lot in common, personality-wise. She is warm and approachable and Gerry is affable and compassionate. They both seem to have a common sweetness that could make their relationship prove super successful.
They also seem to have an intellectual compatibility which comes through in the way they banter with each other. While some of their jokes border a little on boomer humor, they seem to naturally make each other laugh. It is pretty evident that they can joke with each other after Leslie asks him when was the last time he had sex, and he cheekily replied, “with myself or with someone else?”

Fans of The Golden Bachelor know Gerry to be an avid pickleball player and he exudes a natural exuberance. Leslie’s lifestyle dovetails with this perfectly. She’s physically fit and loves the outdoors, and she is really down for any sort of adventure, which Gerry seems to find wildly attractive. Gerry has a zest for life and Leslie, with her motorcycle and her Prince-related past, is the perfect addition to that.
