What happens when you mix Arthurian Legend with Sci-Fi? The Hand of Merlin is what you get, of course. This turned-based game was originally released in May 2021, and now, the news is reaching us that it will also be heading to consoles, with the release date looking likely to be June 14th.
The Hand of Merlin is the brainchild of independent developer Room C Games and Croteam, and this turned-based game will include eight significant updates from the PC version. They have implemented lots of new features and gameplay enhancements, including meta progression (very fancy), passive skills, alternate maps, a variety of difficulty modes, and an overhaul to its visual VFX.
But What is The Hand of Merlin All About?
So, let us tell you all about the magical world of The Hand of Merlin if you don’t already know. This turn-based game uses Arthurian legend and fuses it with dark sci-fi horror – who would have thought that was even possible. Players must recruit three mortal heroes on a desperate journey from Albion to Jerusalem (which is quite the trek) to explore creatively unique medieval lands on the brink of apocalypse.
The choices you make in The Hand of Merlin will be permanent, and all these decisions you make in the game have the possibility to impact your party’s synergy and combat prowess. You will need to utilize squad-based and turn-based combat to go far in this game. Players can also use tactical nous by setting up ambushes and carefully coordinated attacks with the aim of conquering the human and otherworldly threats that are looking to take over. The Hand of Merlin had a lot of acclaim when it came out last year, so here’s hoping this new and improved version of the game entering the consoles cycle next month carries on the success. It comes out on June 14th, so don’t miss out.
