In the late 2000s, The Saints Row franchise was considered a worthy competitor to the Grand Theft Auto franchise. In 2008, Grand Theft Auto 4 and Saints Row 2 released. This would be the last time the two would be considered rivals. In 2013, Grand Theft Auto 5 and Saints Row IV would release less than a month apart but by then the Saints Row series had started to decline. So why are we discussing the history of Saints Row? Because Saints Row 2 is one of the four July 2020 Games with Gold titles!
