Turns out that after the rumor and almost confirmation of The Last of Us being Steam Deck verified, that didn’t go too well. We’ve all seen that the PC port of this acclaimed game launched in a very sorry state. We don’t know if this is a trend with PC ports as of late but it isn’t the first game that has trouble running on PC. However, those that saw a ray of hope with the chance of playing it on Steam Deck might have to way. Some users have already reported that while The Last of Us Part I is playable on Steam Deck, it isn’t supported and might take a while to run on the handheld console.
The Last of Us Part I isn’t playable on Steam Deck as of now
The confirmation comes from a user that says that the compatibility for The Last of Us Part I on Steam Deck isn’t that great. Some people have been able to run it on barely 30fps which isn’t that ideal. This means that beyond all the issues on PC, the developers now need to work on making the game compatible with Valve’s console. While there’s a fix coming for various issues this Friday, we don’t know how long it’ll take for the game to be playable on Steam Deck.
