Update 1.1.2 has arrived for The Last of Us Part 1, and here are the bug fixes and changes that arrived with this patch. This is one of the rare updates the game ever received. In fact, the game’s PC port was a bit problem, and the developers worked on many bug-fixing patches. Today’s patch is similar; it brings a few changes and rebuilds the shader assets. That’s a great solution for the ones complaining about the game’s inconsistent shader stutter. Here are the patch notes for The Last of Us Part 1 update 1.1.2.
The Last of Us Part 1 Update 1.1.2 Patch Notes Including Visual Improvements
- Improved the blending of terrain and ground-based environmental effects like mud, debris and more throughout the game.
- Corrected several in-game, menu, and text-to-speech translation errors
- Fixed an issue that caused the adaptive trigger resistance of the DualSense™ wireless controller to stop functioning if the Triangle button was also held while aiming down sights
- [The Outskirts] Fixed an issue causing the spotlight speed to increase when playing at high framerates
- [Bus Depot] Fixed a camera shake issue that could occur when traversing across the bus
Left Behind Standalone
- [Mallrats] Fixed a physics issue with a mannequin head that could block player progression when running the game at high framerates.
As you see above, there are visual improvements in-game effects, corrections on menus, and bug fixes. Also, a small solution is arriving on the game’s Left Behind DLC content. The developers also note that in the changelog, referring to the reported problems: “We at Naughty Dog and our partners at Iron Galaxy are closely watching player reports to support future improvements and patches. We are actively optimizing, working on game stability, and implementing additional fixes, which will all be included in regularly released future updates.”
The Last of Us Part 1 is available on PC and PlayStation 5.
