The Office
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information.

The American version of The Office is just great, and I say this as an Englishman. Obviously, I have to think that our original version is best, but the American version certainly had that longevity that ours did not. Now the day has come and The Office joins Peacock.

Running for a total of 9 seasons, The Office has cemented Steve Carrell’s Michael Scott as a classic character that will live long in the memories of fans, even if he wasn’t in every season.

There have been plenty of rumors in the past about spin-offs and reboots, but for now, at least, fans have only been able to get their Dunder Mifflin fix over on Netflix. Well, that’s all about to change as The Office will be leaving the streaming giants as soon as the new year rolls in.

Not the best way to ring in the new year additively, but it does make for a perfect excuse to bing The Office one last time this new years eve. What else are you going to do anyway?

The Office

It’s not all bad news, though, as The Office is making it’s way to Peacock. In a world saturated with streaming services, this one will cost you $4.99 per month if you opt to have adverts or $9.99 for ad-free viewing.

Peacock will have every episode of The Office from tomorrow and will also include extended cuts of certain episodes, as well as deleted scenes. There will also be a dedicated channel that plays The Office 24 hours a day. I’m not quite sure why that’s needed, but it’s there.

Be sure to let us know if you plan on binging The Office on Netflix tonight, while you still can, or if you’re just going to wait and subscribe to Peacock. If this departure will leave you broken-hearted, though, there’s always a certain English show I’d be happy to recommend.

Whatever you do, have a great and healthy new year.

Steve is the resident Englishman, just don't hold that against him.  He's been playing games for the best part of 3 decades and will continue to do so for as long as his thumbs hold up.  When they no longer work, he'll still find a way to play Resident Evil 2. Lover of most things nerdy Steve also likes sports.  Go sports!
