One of the themes that The Sims franchise seems to carry throughout their games is the DLC which focuses on the seasons changing. The Sims 4 shows this through the Seasons DLC that was released four years ago. When the Seasons Pack dropped in The Sims 4, we had an entirely new aspect of the season to focus on rather than just the seasons themselves. Holidays gained newfound importance in the game, along with gnomes. Why gnomes? Who knows. However, the two are closely related as a different gnome shows up for each holiday, and now we must appease them. Keep reading to learn how to appease the gnomes in The Sims 4.

Who are The Sims 4 Gnomes (And How Do You Appease Them)

Gnomes are an interesting addition to The Sims 4 Seasons, and for some reason, appeasing them has become a bit of a Sims tradition. To appease them, you’ll have to give them an item from your in-game items menu and pray that it’s an item they like. If you choose right, a halo will appear above your Sim’s head, and you’ll be gifted with packets of seeds from the appeased Gnome. If you choose wrong, fire will appear above the gnome’s head, and your Sim will be struck by lightning. Guessing wrong could actually result in your Sim’s death, so it’s important to know what each gnome likes.

You can offer a small handful of items to the gnomes to appease them when they randomly appear in your yard or house around holiday time. They are:

  • Future Cube
  • Fruitcake
  • Toy
  • Salad
  • Pie
  • Coffee

There are 12 gnomes in total, each responding to different items. Keep reading below to learn about each of The Sims’ 4 gnomes and what will appease them!

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
