HGTV’s Flip or Flop star Christina Hall has reminded us all of the importance of getting regular check-ups for your physical and dental health. E! News broke the news that Hall will be undergoing a dental procedure after a root canal infection she suffered four years ago returned.
“When I was 16 I had a tooth injury to a back molar and had to have an emergency root canal,” she wrote on Instagram Stories April 10. “In 2020 my dentist saw via xray the previous root canal showed signs of being infected. So I went and had it redone.”
Christina’s Infected Root Canal Returns Among Other Health Concerns
Hall thought she was in the clear, but has since revealed that the infection returned with “zero symptoms” and she’s incredibly fortunate to have caught it in time.
“Pretty disturbing,” she continued. “I’m taking care of it next week via explant… but leaving an infection that long can cause all kinds of complications.”
“With no root, you can’t feel if there’s a problem,” she added.
Sadly, this is one of many health struggles for Hall in the past few years. In December 2022, she underwent quantum biofeedback machine testing at an alternative medicine center and results revealed she had been diagnosed with “mercury and lead poisoning.” She believed this to have been caused by remodeling houses. Hall also blamed the condition on her breast implants.
She also revealed around the same time that she had been diagnosed with small intestinal bacterial overgrowth.
Hall’s High-Profile Divorces
After briefly dating her Flip or Flop co-host Tarek El Moussa, the couple married in 2009. They welcomed a daughter in 2010 and a son in 2015. Hall and Moussa separated following an incident where Tarek was found in possession of a handgun while hiking. He alleged that the handgun was to protect against wild animals, but Christina filed for divorce in 2017.
Hall married English television presenter Ant Anstead in 2018, giving birth to their son Hudson in 2019. By 2021, the couple had separated and Anstead accused Christina of exploiting their son on social media. Although he filed for full custody, the court eventually ruled for the pair to have joint legal and physical custody.
After finalizing her divorce from Anstead, Christina Hall began dating realtor Joshua Hall, whom she married the following year.
Following the release of Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, Hall appeared as a contestant on the Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge.
