  • Trailblazer Harmony Imaginary vs Trailblazer Remembrance Ice
  • What Does the Remembrance Path Mean for Honkai Star Rail Mechanics?

After several sneak peeks hidden in demos and leaks of Honkai Star Rail, the hype of the players increased to stratospheric levels with a new, chilly set of powers. Fortunately, in Honkai Star Rail, we will have another great Path for the Trailblazers now that the official Remembrance Ice kit is out. For the Remembrance Path, the Trailblazers won’t be alone, and it’s not that I’m ignoring Clockie, but this new companion will be fighting by our side. However, as cute as this companion may seem to you, its powers are very destructive.

For Break and Super Break teams, the Trailblazer Harmony Imaginary is one of the best Supports, besides being a “free” character. For version 2.7, one of their best partners, Ruan Mei, will get the best out of DPS, like Firefly, Rappa, and Boothill. Also, with the duo of Trailblazer Imaginary and Ruan Mei, it is possible to reuse characters that are considered “somewhat obsolete,” like Himeko, and make her the best DPS for MoC.

As for the Trailblazer Remembrance Ice, their kit shares many teams from MC Harmony, Break and Super Break. This is because, until Version 2.7, Break DPS will greatly benefit from the increased CRIT DMG. In addition, Mem, the Trailblazer’s summon, acts as an extra character as soon as it arrives on the field, with its own stats and HP. While the Trailblazer deals Ice DMG to one target, Mem deals DMG to several enemies as if it has the Destruction Path.

So, before Honkai Star Rail 3.0, Trailblazer Remembrance Ice seems like a good option for Break teams, but it is not the best option. The MC Remembrance will be a 4-star option for Aglaea, but both characters can have their spotlights as long as more Amphoreus characters arrive.

What Does the Remembrance Path Mean for Honkai Star Rail Mechanics?

It is still too early to see what the role of the Remembrance Path will be for the gameplay compared to others. For example, Hunt specializes in DMG for single Tragets, Erudition focuses on AoE, Abundance makes Healers, Preservations has Shielders, Harmony uses buffs, and Nihility debuffs. From the little information available, we know that the Remembrance characters in Honkai Star Rail will use summons, like Trailblazer Ice with Mem and Aglaea with her “robots.” However, we only know that they are summons and not what they do or what their particular role is like compared to the other Paths.

Again, for the little information, leaks, and theories, the fans call Remembrance the dual-type path. This is because the only summons we have now is that they could have different roles. Mem acts as a Support and Destruction summon, as it enhances CRIT DMG and can attach several enemies simultaneously. Maybe in the future, we could get an Erudition summon that deals with an AoE while the summoner is a Healer or a DPS. This leaves Honkai Star Rail devs with endless options for their character designs, but we must wait and see how this evolves in each update.
