The lid has been lifted on the release date for the next expansion of The Witcher 3, called Blood and Wine.
Reported by GRYOnline, a significant Polish gaming website, The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine have been listed for a Tuesday, June 7th release date. The last Witcher 3 DLC, Hearts of Stone, was also released on a Tuesday, coincidence ?
Originally spotted by Wccftech, a news aggregate website, the listing would corroborate with CD Projekt Red’s initial release time frame. The award winning developer has stated it plans to release Blood and Wine within the first half of 2016, although June is pushing it. As is common practice in the industry, it is possible the June 7th listing is a placeholder.
CD Projekt RED Senior Writer Jakub Szamalek spoke about Blood and Wine with Eurogamer Italy, expressing his belief that Blood and Wine will be superior to Wild Hunt, specifically in the case of the enemies:
We believe that they failed in Wild Hunt to create a charismatic enemy with which to beat us, and then we worked to make unique and memorable opponent of this expansion. We also created a rather complex story that we believe players will appreciate. We are quite satisfied with the work, but we know that we can do even better.
