The upcoming expansion for The Witcher 3, titled Blood and Wine, will be adding new cards to the in-game card game Gwent. This news was announced at PAX East by CD Projekt Red.

Players can expect to receive content from the Skelliege location, along with four new cards. CD Projekt Red showed off the new cards in a panel. However, pictures of the cards were not readily available at the time of this writing. This isn’t the first time that the developer will add new cards for Gwent as the first expansion, October’s Hearts of Stone, added new cards to the game.

CD Projekt Red has always put a lot of detail into the environments of their games.

During the Q&A session, fans asked the developers if we would eventually see a form of Gwent on mobile devices. The question was dodged, but the audience’s reaction was filmed after the developer asked if they would like to see this happen. After an overwhelming response, the team that represented CD Projekt Red is going to take the film back to the studio in Poland to inspire the team to bring Gwent to mobile devices.

Another fan asked if the team’s next game, Cyber-Punk 2077, would feature its own version of Gwent. The developers responded by saying that its too early to talk about the project, though they joked that the game could be called “Cyber-Gwent.”
