The Witcher 3 is apparently landing on the Xbox Game Pass service in the near future.
The move hasn’t been officially announced, but it was revealed in a recent Twitch Ad. The ad, discovered by Reddit user Tombonez, shows several games already on Game Pass. The new addition to the highlight reel is The Witcher 3.
The trailer likely aired just a few hours too early. Microsoft is hosting its X019 conference in London today. Analyst Daniel Ahmad previewed the event yesterday, saying Microsoft was going to have a “shadow drop.”
It would appear Geralt of Rivea could be that surprise launch. The timing of the announcement makes sense for several reasons.

Excitement has been growing over the live-action adaptation on Netflix. The Witcher 3 also launched on the Switch just last month.
The big question is how welcome this addition will be. The Witcher 3 has been on the market for a while now.
Considering the number of people who have gotten their hands on it, are there many Xbox users left who don’t have it on one platform or another?
On the flip side, it’s a very good game. It’s also one that offers an hour upon hour of content.
When the Xbox Game Pass first launched, its AAA offerings were a bit light. Microsoft has managed to turn the service into one that offers some of the best games on the market.
The Witcher 3 fits that bill. Now we just wait for Microsoft to make the official announcement.
If the rumors are true, the new addition to its stable of Game Pass games is just the opening salvo for X019. We’re going to get to see more of what Microsoft has up its sleeve later today.
Among the announcements set to accompany The Witcher 3 are release dates for Bleeding Edge, Minecraft Dungeons and Wasteland 3.
