Poppy Playtime trapped its players with seemingly cute and fun toys, only to unleash the horror in Playtime Co. Chapter by chapter, Player (the playable character’s name) confronted the creepiest children’s toys, but instead of unraveling the truth, they became more and more entangled in the mysteries buried in the factory. For Poppy Playtime Chapter 4, gamers will go to new depths, and following this same thread, they will probably find a new enemy, Yarnaby.
Mob Entertainment shared a teaser in which we can see how Player is in an elevator, maybe the same one they take with Poppy before someone kidnaps Kissy Missy. When descending, we see a tube carrying a red substance throughout the new area, similar to the Red Smoke of the last chapter. This area looks like a set of caves; in some of them, there are parts of laboratories full of functional cameras watching every Player’s step. Something that stands out the most is the amount of broken and shattered toys all over the place. As Player approaches a sort of reception area, the light goes out, but faint music starts to play, just before revealing Experiment 1166, Yarnaby.
At first glance, Yarnaby is an enemy that might remind some of Huggy Wuggy, being a tall and “fluffy” enemy. Although Yarnaby has a round, smiling face with large eyes of a rigid yellow material and rainbow yarn hair. However, according to this Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 teaser, Yarnabi can split its head into two parts, like a carnivorous plant, and inside, it has two pairs of rows of large, sharp teeth. In this next chapter, we will not only have to run away from the Nightmare Critters. We will have to face what looks like another product of the Bigger Bodies Initiative. Remember that The Prototype is still out there in Poppy Playtime and may have a relationship with Yarnaby, like CatNap and Mommy Long Legs, who “worked” for it.
