Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna has said the public may never receive the complete Jeffrey Epstein files. During an interview with Stephen A. Smith, Luna described her efforts to secure the files’ release; she linked missing records to alleged evidence destruction and a cyberattack during the New York investigation.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna says the full Epstein files will never be released because of a major cyberattack that took place while Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell were under investigation in New York.

Luna explained lawmakers uncovered evidence destruction under a former FBI deputy director. She said she documented the discovery, but no one paid attention.

She also said she pressed Attorney General Pam Bondi to release the files, highlighting the issue that later became political.

Luna then claimed a cyberattack occurred while Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell faced investigation in New York, saying “I actually don’t think that we have the full deck of cards here.”

Luna said she attended a meeting with Democratic and Republican lawmakers, the House speaker, victims and their attorneys. She said lawmakers asked whether anyone could name individuals involved and whether the president was implicated. Also, claiming the president was exonerated, and she later added that the meeting included notice of a pending lawsuit involving Deutsche Bank.

The remarks triggered competing claims about whether the cyberattack explained the missing records.

One response stated, “Cyber attack. They really do think we are stupid. SMH.” Another questioned, “Oh wow, is this the brand new narrative dropping in 2026?”

A separate user wrote, “Super convenient timing. Almost like the files were never meant to see the light of day.” Another argued, “There are always backups of sensitive data like that.”

Other responses supported Luna’s account. One person wrote, “Do you [expletive] think they were not going to destroy evidence? They wanted to get Trump, this is them getting Trump.”

Another stated, “A Republican congresswoman who chairs the actual declassification task force is telling you, on camera, that evidence was destroyed under a former FBI deputy director and the full files are never coming.”

Questions remain about what evidence was lost and whether investigators can verify the cyberattack’s impact. The extent of any missing records remains unclear.
