Election fraud is a hot topic these days, especially since President Donald Trump keeps accusing the Democratic Party. Now, an old rapper from Florida has found himself reluctantly agreeing with Donald Trump after allegedly witnessing said election fraud in action. According to the rapper, he saw how Democratic politicians in his district tampered with ballots from senior citizens, and his allegations have since gone viral.
65-year-old Florida-based Luther Campbell, aka Uncle Luke, is the rapper in question. On July 29, he posted a video on his personal Instagram account detailing the alleged election fraud happening in Broward County, Florida. “Ladies in gentlemen, I hate to agree with Donald Trump,” says Campbell. “These career politicians, Democrats, that I’ve always supported… they are really cheating,” he added.
In the clip, Campbell stated that he witnessed one of the “ballot harvesters” of a female Democratic politician knocking on senior citizens’ doors to lend assistance to them by taking their ballots to the boxes. Only, according to Campbell, the politicians’ workers would tamper with the senior citizens’ ballots and change who they voted for, supposedly in favor of the Democrats. “These people do rig elections!” exclaimed Campbell.
“I cannot believe I’m here agreeing with Donald Trump on this one,” reiterated Campbell in the captions as he calls for police involvement regarding the case. Campbell hasn’t exactly dropped names, but only described the appearance of the ballot harvester he saw, claiming the man had dreadlocks. Campbell has since put up a warning to any voters not to hand their ballots to anyone.
Commenters are skeptical
So far, Campbell hasn’t exactly provided a follow-up video of the actual ballot harvester he was referring to in his subsequent video updates. It’s also not clear whether he really did report the election fraud incident to the police or the proper authorities. Regardless, it appears many people online have praised Campbell for what they assumed to be whistleblowing.
“I mean I think a blind man can see it at this point. Especially when they are fighting not to show ID smh Trump was right this whole time!” suggests one Instagram user. Another user, however, was skeptical of both sides, writing, “Y’all just now figuring out that the democrats can’t be trusted? Well sorry to ruin ya train of thought but neither side can be trusted. 2 wings on the same bird.”
Others, however, didn’t exactly buy Uncle Luke’s allegations, with one person arguing against him, “Are you aware that if there are boxes that are crossed out the ballot does not count at all, so what’s the advantage of having them changed? None, you are also like Trump and making false accusations!” A tired commenter simply stated, “Stop it please we don’t have time for this nonsense,” as others also argued that ballot harvesting supposedly happens on both sides.
