Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie is drawing attention after telling fellow Republicans to stop complaining about election fraud following the party’s victories in the White House, Senate, and House.
Massie made the remarks during a Morning Joe interview. A video clip later circulated online.
Massie asked his Republican colleagues, “Why are you complaining about election fraud?” He added, “We won all the damn elections.”
The Kentucky Rep. argued Republicans should stop focusing on election fraud and instead deliver on the promises they made to voters, including fiscal responsibility, putting America first, and improving the nation’s health. He said the party was “wasting the opportunity” created by its election victories.
Republicans Split Over Kentucky Rep. Massie’s Election Fraud Comments
The clip divided users over whether Republican victories weakened the party’s election fraud arguments.
One user wrote, “Massie is right again. Trump and Republicans should focus on the issues facing Americans not election fraud.” Another stated, “They are complaining about election fraud because of one big, orange, deranged ego.”
A separate response asked, “If the system is so hopelessly fraudulent, why do Republicans trust every result that gives them power?” Another argued, “The GOP say every election they lose was fraudulent. If they win, its the will of the people.”
Others rejected Massie’s reasoning. One user wrote, “I am usually in lockstep with Massie on most things, but not this. There should be no way to steal elections. It doesn’t matter who won.”
Another stated, “But just because the right has won doesn’t mean fraud isn’t happening. If fraud is happening, control the fraud, that’s fairness.”
The clip continues to circulate online, with supporters praising Massie for urging Republicans to focus on governing after their election victories. At the same time, critics argue election security should remain a priority regardless of who wins.
