This Game-Changing Palworld Trick Lets You Ignore Encumberance

What a haul.

Unlike Pokemon, Palworld is as much about crafting as it is about creature-collecting. Constructing crafting stations and building a base are essential parts of the game, but you’ll need a ton of resources to build everything you need. That’s not a big deal at first, but once your base grows and you start automating, you’ll end up with giant stacks of Wood, Stone, and other resources. Hauling them is a complete pain due to the game’s encumbrance system which prevents you from moving if you try to carry too much. Well, fear no more, because this trick lets you haul tons of resources in Palworld without slowing down.

The Palworld encumbrance trick is only useful while you’re at your base, but that’s okay. Encumbrance doesn’t matter much in the wild, whereas it’s a huge pain when you’re trying to work on a big construction project at home. This trick, shared by YouTuber makeUmove and Redditor BeyondSmash, allows you to transport resource stacks encumbrance-free by following these steps:

  • Open a storage container
  • Click and hold the item you wish to move
  • Press “Tab” to exit the storage container
  • Walk to another container and open it
  • Place the item you’re holding in an available storage slot

Using this trick you can transport stacks of 9,999 Stone as if they weighed nothing. That makes building your base far easier. Pocketpair may adjust how encumbrance is handled while at your base in the future, but for now this trick is your best option to move large stacks of resources without having to split them. It’s also far faster and more convenient than the grab-and-drop method. Hopefully, Pocketpair will embrace this encumbrance trick as an official Palworld feature instead of just a quirky workaround.

Palworld is available for PC in early access.
