A woman in Pennsylvania is facing severe backlash from the public after she was filmed allegedly pouring bleach onto food that was left outside for stray cats. According to the person who recorded the video, the incident happened in a residential neighborhood on Rose Street in Chester.
In the video, the woman is seen leaving her home carrying a large white jug. She stopped near different food piles placed on the ground to pour liquid from the container over them. The person filming claimed the substance was bleach and accused the woman of trying to “poison” the animals.
The video has since gone viral on multiple social media platforms, with many viewers saying that her actions amounted to animal cruelty and calling for authorities to investigate.
One person on X said, “Arrest this monster.” Another commented, “This is beyond disgusting.” A third wrote, “What a heinous thing to do. Pure evil.” A fourth added, “There has to be something really wrong with you to intentionally hurt animals.”
While much of the public reaction was critical, some interpreted the situation differently. One comment speculated, “My guess is that she isn’t trying to harm the cats but that now the cats will have to find food somewhere else as bleach is super strong and the cats won’t eat it.”
Some also found feeding feral animals in neighborhoods problematic. “This is not a third world country. Pets are one thing, but dozens of stray cats are worse than rats and possums,” one netizen argued. Another chimed in, “Stray cats are a plague in some places.” Someone else suggested, “If you are an animal lover, take them in your home and properly care for them.”
As of now, there have been allegations regarding the woman’s identity and whether she has been arrested, though those claims have not been confirmed.
