Though several Avengers did not survive the impact of Thanos’ mighty snap of the Infinity Gauntlet, it seems one man close to Thor did. Odinson’s former roommate Darryl Jacobson. For those not familiar with Darryl, he ‘s the kind flatmate Thor moved in with for a bit while living in Australia. Though no longer sharing a home, the two parted as friends while Thor traveled the galaxy searching for answers and the Infinity Stones. Though he’s never been in a Marvel movie, Darryl is a wonderful addition in both humor and a way to explain where Thor was during events like Captain America: Civil War.

Darryl recently moved to Los Angeles and found himself a new roommate in The Grandmaster, who strikes a resemblance to actor Jeff Goldblum. He found time to post a short video to Twitter explaining that he’s perfectly fine. However, his life is a bit busier now, with most of his coworkers turning to dust, he is stuck working weekends. The main point of the video is to wish his friend Thor a happy birthday. Though a bit belated due to due to both Thor’s and Chris Hemsworth’s birthdays falling on August 11th.
Darryl concludes his well-wishing with a wonderful rendition of “Happy Birthday” played on a stylophone. It’s good to know another character from the Marvel universe is safe after the Mad Titan completed his quest. Though, it does raise another question. Did The Grandmaster survive?
What about your new roommate? Did he survive the snap? pic.twitter.com/QkqeVSmAbP

Seeing Darryl alive brings up another great question. Who else from the MCU didn’t turn to dust? The fates of heroes like Valkyrie, Korg, and Wong are unknown. Maybe they will post a video saying they’re alright. And what about Pepper Potts and Agent Phil Coulson? Hopefully, these questions are answered in Avengers 4. After the end credits sequence in Ant-Man and the Wasp, I’m not sure Marvel fans can take any more bad news.
