A disturbing confrontation outside a CVS in North Charleston, South Carolina, is going viral after a Black teenager was allegedly caught pulling a knife on a White employee. The incident, which quickly escalated into a heated altercation involving police, has ignited fierce debate online about violence, policing, and community accountability. The video, filmed by a bystander and later shared to TikTok, shows officers restraining the teen against a brick wall as he yells in protest. Throughout the clip, voices can be heard shouting over the chaos. “Get the f-ck off of me. You tryin’ to kill me,” the teen screams as officers attempt to detain him.
Meanwhile, the bystander filming repeatedly defends him, shouting: “He did nothing wrong! I was here the entire time. He is a minor. He did nothing wrong the entire time.” At one point, another person in the background pleads, “Just let him go.”
The video has sparked polarized responses online. One user, who reshared the video, wrote, “A video from North Charleston is going viral after a black thug tried to pull a knife on a White CVS employee, as two black women defended him, saying, ‘He did nothing wrong, he’s just a little boy,’ while blaming the officers and the White employee for his arrest.”

Some viewers expressed concern over the teen’s behavior, calling it a dangerous situation for store staff and law enforcement. Others pointed to the bystander’s insistence that the boy was innocent and emphasized his age, raising questions about over-policing of minors in Black communities. One viral comment read, “He’s just a little boy, and you’re treating him like a grown criminal.” Another countered, “If he had a knife, that’s not just a ‘little boy.’ That’s a threat.” Others expressed “fatigue” over racial blame. “Anyone else have ghetto fatigue?” someone asked as another wrote, “Why do they always have to pull the race card?”
Towards the end of the video, there are three officers holding the teen down on the ground while they place him in handcuffs. Authorities in North Charleston have not yet confirmed whether the teen will face charges, nor have they released additional footage from body cams or surveillance to clarify the events leading up to the arrest.
