Previews for Marvel’s Timeless #1 show off a dystopian future under the control of Moon Knight. This glimpse into the not-too-far future shows a world devoted to the lunar champion. As the people of the world dedicate themselves to Moon Knight, they begin a difficult pilgrimage to be blessed by the lunar ruler. However, Old Man Luke Cage arrives with warnings of death and destruction. If Moon Knight is unwilling to lay down his arms and forfeit, a battle is looming. One that will kick off the end of the Age of Heroes in the Marvel Universe.
Timeless
Marvel’s Timeless series is known for offering a peek at what fans can expect in the future of the Marvel Universe. Previously, the issues released focused on the time-hopping adventures of Kang the Conqueror. In 2022, Timeless #1 introduced a team of futuristic knights created by Myrddin. This group aimed to be Kang and the Avenger’s next big bad. It also set up the return of Miracleman to the Marvel Universe.
Now, 2023’s Timeless #1 is focusing away from Kang and on the battle between Immortal Moon Knight and Old Man Luke Cage. Immortal Moon Knight is the being created by a mixture of the Eternal Machine, Stark tech, and Khonshu. While this new lunar champion seems to have the whole world at his disposal, Luke Cage seems more powered than usual. He is wielding the powers of the Sentry, the Hulk, and the Iron Fist. These two overpowered beings are about to kick off a chain of events that will send shockwaves through the entire Marvel Universe.
Gang War
Currently, Luke Cage is helping Spider-Man with the all-out criminal war in Marvel’s Gang War event. The heroes are amid a city spiraling out of control. Of course, this led to the two deciding to form two teams, one with Luke Cage and one with Spider-Man in the lead. Donning a new superhero persona, Cage brings Danny Rand, Jessica Jones, and Cloak and Dagger together. Meanwhile, Spider-Man recruits Miles Morales, She-Hulk, Elektra, and Spider-Woman.
Timeless #1 is out 12/27/2024.
