In a recent interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Tina Fey says that she and Tim Meadows will appear in the Mean Girls movie musical remake. Tina Fey starred in the original 2004 film Mean Girls as Ms. Sharon Norbury as did Tim Meadows as Principal Ron Duvall. Fey also wrote the screenplay of the original film as well. She didn’t confirm whether she and Meadows would reprise their roles. Reneé Rapp, Angourie Rice, Jaquel Spivey, and Auli’i Cravalho will star in the movie musical remake of Mean Girls. Production is set to start on March 6. Fey also talked about Amy Poehler. The comedian talked about they got to the point of touring together. The live shows of Steve Martin and Martin Short inspired Fey. Unfortunately, Tina Fey didn’t say anything about Amy Poehler starring in the movie musical remake of Mean Girls.

The Broadway musical adaptation of Tina Fey’s Mean Girls was a hit, and now there will be a film remake. Tina Fey is going back to her comedy roots with her upcoming tour alongside Amy Poehler. Tina Fey’s appearance in the upcoming movie musical remake of Mean Girls is also part of her origins. She has gone on to make the series 30 Rock and Mr. Mayor. Fey has also starred in the films Baby Mama (with Amy Poehler again), Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Date Night, and a voice role in Soul.
